Acceptable
Use policy
Any artwork you see on this
site is copyrighted to Silver Sky Studio and is both the property
of Silver Sky Studio and the artist who drew the picture.
This said, we are very proud
of the work we do and we hope that you will enjoy viewing what we
produce. After all, that's why we post it for public viewing.
Saving Art
If you like an image and you wish to save it to your computer, use
it as a wallpaper, or print it out, that is perfectly acceptable,
as long as you do not remove any of the copyright information.
Practice
It is also all right if you like the
style of a drawing and want to use it to practice with, as long
as you note that you used our image for reference and provide proper
credit to the artist.
Fan art
Drawing fan art of Wolf characters is fine too, as long as
you place a copyright notice that the character (not the art) is
property of Silver Sky Studio, and do not copy an existing image.
However, certain things are
NOT okay. These include the following:
Using images as other characters
Please do not repost one of our images on another site and claim
that it is your rp, story, or personal character. This includes
using them as avatars.
Altering Images
Do not alter our pictures in any way. This includes removing copyright
notices, changing the names, backgrounds, or re-coloring the image.
Reposting Images
This is commonly referred to as Art Theft. It happens when you take
an image done by another artist and repost it somewhere else claiming
that you drew the picture. Sometimes people will purposely and wrongly
claim they drew a picture. This is the worst case of art theft because
it is deliberate, immoral, and very illegal. But, even if you just
repost an image that lacks its copyright notice and give no proper
credit, that is still art theft.
It is unfortunate, but there
seems to be increasing cases of art theft as well as the other issues
specified above. Because of this, our artists and fans have become
watchful. If you are found violating the rules laid out above, know
that we will take action. We will first ask you to remove the images,
then your host or ISP will be contacted if problems persist. If
it comes down to it, legal action will be taken. I hope it will
not come to this, but I will take whatever action is necessary.
Action will be taken even if you are under 18, and I don't think
many parents would be too thrilled to find a letter from our lawyer
in thier mailbox.
Thank you for your cooperation.
